Saving Your Mission-Critical Assets after a Disaster
Tracey McDonough of BELFOR Property Restoration will share with us concrete steps to ensure that property restoration options remain open after a property damage emergency. Restoring versus replacing critical facilities and contents can save substantial money and recovery time. Proper planning and immediate mitigation saves you these options. And options are power! Tracey will, of course, interlace her presentation with stories and pictures from disaster recovery scenes that illuminate these objectives.
Ready Rating Program, American Red Cross
Tracey has asked Jonathan Comyn, Regional COO of the American Red Cross, to co-present this month and make us aware of a web-based pre-planning tool that that they are about to unveil and promote heavily to the business and education communities. He will walk us through a demonstration of their Ready Rating™ program, which enables companies and schools to join for free and work at their own pace to create a plan or improve on their existing one. They will initially work through a 123-point self assessment of their current level of preparedness across 5 different areas. Benchmarks are provided for improvement and some improvement every year is required to remain a member. This is an amazing tool that dovetails nicely with our mission of empowering small- and medium-sized businesses to be prepared. Beginning in the fall, Ready Rating™ will be promoted heavily, so we’ll get a sneak preview! Don’t miss it!
