July 15, the day before our ACP chapter event, was a “supply chain” chaotic day. Our speaker’s company identified 1,600 bad events. Malaysian and Vietnam production shutdowns due to COVID, massive flooding in Germany and Belgium, and South Africa unrest were only three of them. The very next day, a typhoon was heading to Singapore.

This is just one example of ways in which the world is becoming ever more unpredictable, and businesses must be ready to deal with events beyond their control.
