October 2020 Chapter Meeting

Planning for COVID-19 Contingencies:  What Should Your Business Do To Mitigate Risks?

Chapter Meeting Recap
At our October chapter meeting we heard from Alan G. Dunn, an expert in supply chain management and risk assessment.  Alan presented eight priorities every organization should consider when building plans to operate in a post-COVID world.  While focused primarily on manufacturing entities, Alan’s risk assessment approach can be adopted by organizations of all sizes, including non-profits and small businesses.

While there is no “rule book” to address uncertainties that are sure to be encountered during the COVID recovery period, there are models, inspired by other global catastrophes, that can be accessed, modified, and applied in the pending recovery period.

Alan G. Dunn is President, GDI Consulting & Training Company & Founder, Manufacturing Executive Institute (MEI).  He has been an executive workshop instructor for over 34 years at the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) Center for Technology & Management Education (CTME).  He has 46 years of progressive manufacturing and distribution industry experience and serves on the boards of directors for groups across the industry.
