June 2020 Chapter Meeting - Agility Recovery

Over the past 90 days, all DR/BC professionals have experienced a shift in the way people talk about and execute business continuity plans at their organizations. Business Continuity is no longer an afterthought; it’s top of mind!  The virtual June meeting of our ACP chapter featured Greg Tillotson from Agility Recovery, a company on the front lines of the current continuity battles.  We welcomed a number of guests, including a member from the San Francisco chapter – one of the benefits of virtual meetings!  Greg focused his presentation on the COVID-19 crisis but broadened his talk to cover the fundamentals of business continuity methodology:
  • Planning, planning, planning – and keeping your plans current and accessible
  • Employing thorough and efficient communications within your organization, with vendors, and with clients
  • Stressing the importance of testing to uncover and document gaps ahead of an incident
  • Adapting to the changing landscape of business continuity (with lessons learned from COVID-19)

Speaker
Greg Tillotson joined the Agility Recovery team as a Test Declare Manager in July of 2019.  He is based out of the Liberty Lake, Washington Business Recovery Center (BRC) where he also serves as site manager for this property. For more information on Agility Recovery, click here.
