October Chapter Meeting
Colorado Office of Emergency Management – ACP Presentation

Were you aware that any Colorado response to a disaster involves seven critical lifelines? Or that the private sector plays a role in six of the seven? On Friday, October 18, our ACP chapter had the privilege of meeting at the Colorado State Office of Emergency Management and learning about their programs from Director Michael Willis.

The SEOC is the hub of a large network of organizations and agencies that must work together during any disaster response. Mike explained the evolution of an incident from onset to recovery and the role those other lifelines and agencies play in ensuring the primary goal: safety for Colorado residents.
