Natural Hazards Center 2018 Workshop | July 8-11

The Natural Hazards Center University of Colorado-Boulder website has great information for people who are interested in the fields of Business Continuity, Disaster Recovery, and Emergency Management. Check out their Webinars, Training, and Education page for various free webinars, podcasts, and online courses. For example, there’s a webcast on “Going Off the Grid: Disaster, Resilience, and Off Grid Energy”, and much more. The Natural Hazards Center offers CEM credits. If you are interested in an emergency manager certification, check out their Continuing Education Credits offerings.

On July 8-11, the Natural Hazards Center 2018 Workshop will be held in Broomfield. The theme is currently open: Twenty Questions: Looking for Answers to Reduce Disaster Risk.  Review and submit one or more ideas for how you might answer the big questions that they are organizing the workshop around this year. A workshop information list is used to send emails to those who wish to receive workshop updates. If interested, sign up here: https://hazards.colorado.edu/signup.

About the Workshop: Since 1975, the Natural Hazards Center has hosted the Annual Natural Hazards Research and Applications Workshop in Colorado. Today, the Workshop is attended by over 500 federal, state, and local emergency officials; representatives of nonprofit and humanitarian organizations; hazards researchers; disaster consultants; and others dedicated to reducing risk and alleviating the harm from disasters.
